We are opening manuscript submissions on 1–30 November 2024. We are looking for literary fiction set in Aotearoa by authors with a track record of published work – either their own published novels or fiction published in journals and online. We aren’t looking for genre fiction.
Please email kiaora@makaropress.co.nz – subject: ‘November submission’ – with a short pitch for your book that includes what it’s about, where it fits in NZ literature and why we should publish it. Also include where your work has been published previously.
